The fact that Van, which is a flavor stop on the Silk Road, is built on such a route played a big role in the formation of the breakfast tradition. The primary feature of the Van breakfast table is that the food is made entirely of natural products. This breakfast table consists of genuine Van honey, yoghurt cream, milk cream, butter, tzatziki, herby cheese, fried eggs with soudjouk, murtuga (Main ingredients are butter, flour and eggs and is usually served with honey and jam) and roasted and ground wheat. The delicious breakfast is served with lavash bread and Van roll prepared with special methods and baked in stone ovens accompanied by tea prepared in samovar. For Van Breakfast; yoghurt, tzatziki and haricot bean salad are added to the menu in summer months, and also honey-molasses and tahini are added in winter.
