There are 23 exhibition halls in the museum building, which was built on an area of 13000 square meters with an understanding of modern museology. The museum awaits its visitors with the artifacts, coins and ethnographic works that shed light on the folk culture of Van from the Urartian, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk, Akkoyunlu and Karakoyunlu and Ottoman periods. Some of the important artifacts exhibited in the Van Museum consist of bracelets and armbands from the Urartian period, a votive plaque, earrings, and cuneiform beads.
