The fairy chimneys, which were formed by the erosion of the rocks erupted by the volcanic Yiğit Mountain, rain water and wind in Yavuzlar Village, 33 kilometers away from the center of Başkale, are equally good as Cappadocia in Ürgüp district of Nevşehir. The fairy chimneys, called as "Vanadoccia" by the locals and attract many local and foreign tourists every year, especially in the summer season, also draws attention with the many meters long tunnels and caves that have emerged with the effect of precipitation in recent years.
